Traditional Culture “Kabuki” and Modern Culture “Anime”
Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Nikko Futaarasan Shrine, and other cultural heritage sites in Nikko are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their registration as World Heritage sites.
This year, the 46th World Heritage Theatre will be held at the two shrines, featuring performances on the themes of traditional culture “Kabuki” and modern culture “Anime”.

Yuki Kaji, Toshiki Masuda, Minori Chihara Voice-over reading plays “NEZUMI - Shiodome no Shijimi Seller” (Edo thief, Rat Boy), “Acorns and Wildcat” (Kenji Miyazawa)
Popular voice actors Yuki Kaji, Toshiki Masuda, and Minori Chihara will read and recite Edo period literature at Toshogu.
